Forge
The Forge Combined Policy is a special scheme for
Farriers and Blacksmiths. The Insurance is provided by the AXA Insurance
Company.
There are five sections to choose from:
 Cover for your Buildings
Cover for your Stock
and Equipment anywhere in the UK
Loss of Income following
a property damage loss
Employers Liability
Public and Products Liability
Section 1 – Buildings
If you own your premises or are required to insure it
under the terms of your lease, this section provides cover for accidental
damage to property.
Section 2 – Contents
This section provides cover for loss or damage to your
stock and equipment whilst at your premises, in your van, at the contract
site and whilst in transit.
Section 3 – Loss of Income
If you insure your stock and equipment under Section
2, this cover is included free of charge. Loss of profit up to a limit
of £250,000 is covered following a claim under Section 1 or 2.
Section 4 – Employers Liability
You are required by law
to insure for your legal liability to any employee who suffers death,
illness, injury or disease whilst working for you.
Section 5 – Public and Products
Liability
If you cause death or
injury to a person or damage to someone else’s property during your
business activities you might be held legally liable. The limit of indemnity
is £2,000,000 or £5,000,000. For Farriers this Section also
includes injury to horses up to a limit of £1,000,000.
