When you rent a house to a tenant you usually expect them to live in it and demonstrate a usual range of domestic activity. One landlord recently had a problem he was not expecting when a fire started at one of his houses. Neighbours called the fire brigade who put out the fire and discovered the house was given over to the growing of cannabis plants.
The tenant needless to say had disappeared.
So the moral is make sure properties are visited regularly just to make sure the activities are purely domestic. |
